
Mrs. Allentuck began her career at BCD in the middle school teaching 4th grade from 1997-2002. She is happy to be back in Lower School, this year in Second Grade and last year as the Lower School Reading Teacher. In those in between years she received her Masters in Deaf Education from Smith College and Clarke School for the Deaf and taught in a variety of classrooms in Berkshire County including a combination of 3rd and 4th graders as well as 7th grade. Both of her children attended Berkshire Country Day School. She enjoys yoga, hiking and rowing crew.

Kathy started teaching at BCD in September of 1994 in the Early Childhood division in what was then called Beginner Threes. Several years later, she switched to ninth grade art, which produced the yearbook, and Lower School and high school art. She now teaches second grade, which she taught for six years prior to becoming an art teacher. Kathy was trained as a Waldorf class teacher, and received her Masters in Elementary Education at Antioch New England. Prior to that, she was the Director of Market Communications at Berkshire Corporation in Great Barrington, MA.
