Paul and I have been tracking the weather and as of noontime, the show is a GO. If things take a dramatic turn for the worse, we will use the school’s phone message system to get the word out (because I won’t have internet at the theater), so check your messages this afternoon. But, we are looking good and will proceed on the assumption that the show will go on!

Today’s dress rehearsal is ON. Please arrive at 2:45. Parent pick-up will be at 8:45 at the theater.

I know the weather is still iffy, but this is pretty much our last chance to have a dress rehearsal, so let’s do it!

We have decided to cancel tonight’s dress rehearsal. The roads at 8:30 (pick-up time) will be terrible and not worth the risk! Although the storm may mean no school tomorrow, we still feel that it’s a better gamble that the roads will be better by tomorrow afternoon. So, we will hold the dress rehearsal tomorrow after school.

IF THERE IS SCHOOL TOMORROW the kids will bus to the theater after school with an 8:45 pick-up time at the theater.

IF THERE IS NO SCHOOL TOMORROW we will still have rehearsal. Please drop the kids at the theater at 2:45 with an 8:45 pick-up time.

It’s 1:15 and we are making a decision about the dress rehearsal tonight. Stay tuned for information shortly. Be prepared for the possibility that your child might need to get home right after school. I will post the decision as soon as possible.

If we have a weather cancellation tomorrow, please check your email and this blog regularly throughout the day for updates about the impact on our dress rehearsal. The two options we will consider are:

OPTION 1: If the roads clear up quickly, we will call/email/blog around noon with news that dress rehearsal is still on. In that case, cast and crew will need to be at the BCD theater at 2:30. Pick-up at the theater will be 8:30.

OPTION 2: If the roads continue to look bad by noontime, we will call/email/blog with news that our dress rehearsal will happen on Wednesday from right after school until 8:45.

Obviously, the weather may not be an issue, but we wanted to be ready to respond.

February Rehearsal Calendar

We hope to see you all at the theater this Saturday for our first set build. We will be there from 9-6 and there is a lot to do! Everyone is welcome and you do not need any special skill at building.

Your clothes will get paint and saw dust on them, so wear something old.

Please bring a lunch!
