1.  HW for Friday, 13 Apr.  Reread pages 26, 27, and 28 in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and explain what is being discussed using this lampoon of “Pap.”   What attitudes are expressed by “Pap,” and why does Mark Twain use him to camouflage criticism of the then current Southern point of view.

2.  HW for Tues 17 Apr:  Rewrite of the essay on Julius Caesar.

1.  HW for Friday.  Essay on confusion in Romeo and Juliet.  Begin with an introduction about confusion.  The address three passages:  V i 1-35, Romeo hears of Juliet’s “death.”

V ii 1-25, Friar Lawrence discovers that the letter hasn’t been delivered, V iii 47-63, Paris meets Romeo at night at the tomb of the Capulets.

2. HW for Tues 17 Apr:  rewrites due on the three compositions:  memories prodded by (1) touch, by (2) sound, by (3) aroma.  Each composition must be at least three paragraphs long.
