Geoff worked until 1982 as a chemist in his native England, moving to the US in 1982 to take a position as an Analytical Chemist at Vicks in Shelton, Connecticut. In 1990, Geoff left corporate America to become a teacher at BCD, teaching sixth grade geography, seventh and eighth grade history. Two years later, he switched from English to science and has been teaching chemistry at BCD ever since. Geoff also coaches both indoor and outdoor soccer, reflecting a passion he has for the game, in particular supporting the greatest soccer club in the world, his hometown team of Manchester United. In 1999, he visited Africa and climbed Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world as well as the highest mountain in Africa.
