We’re almost there! Tomorrow’s Showcase is from 2:10-2:50!

Tonight, be sure to follow all the directions on the handout given in class today. Also, bring in any materials/pieces of writing/Development models, etc. that you’ll need to reach success for your Showcase display.

Also, please get your test signed.

2. Rough draft of Development piece due tomorrow. (So, think about what you want to write on the Development panel on your display board, and write a rough draft for it.)

3. Remember: Your actual Development piece is due Friday, the day of the showcase. Some of you are planning on cooking, and others are planning on making models of mythical creatures and such. Be sure to work on it!

Due Date Change: Government and Society final draft due tomorrow (most of you only have a few corrections to make)

Showcase Friday during the activity period! You are doing great work in class to prepare for the Showcase. Tonight, you may want to type up your Overview or print out pictures for your display board. Or, you could work on your Development piece, for which you wrote the proposal on Thursday evening and which you and I discussed during Friday’s class.

1. If you didn’t bring me $4 this week, please help me pay for the supplies I bought for you, and bring in $4 on Monday.

2. Today you turned in and got feedback on your Development/Elaboration piece for the Showcase. Many of you need special supplies for your development piece — food ingredients, modeling clay, paint, etc. Please check in with your parents this weekend to talk about what materials you need in order to reach success on this final piece.

3. Complete the Overview sheet that you received at the beginning of class today. Each section needs 3 bullet points. Use your Civilization Creation Binder to review what you’ve already done this year.

4. Today at the end of the day you received the rough draft of your Government and Society assignment. The final draft of this will be due on Wednesday. We will review the rubric on Monday, but you should also take a look at the requirements on your own.

Today we began work on the Civilization Creation Showcase. Tomorrow we will join forces with Dr. L’s class again to continue working on the posters and presentations.
