Your quiz will be over lesson 8 on page 104 of your text.  This will also help prepare you for your exam next Monday on lessons 5-8.

You will need to:

understand how to form information questions (p.106)

make questions with the interrogative expression qui (p. 108)

make questions with qu’est-ce que (p.109)

know how to conjugate the verb faire and the expressions (p. 110)

form questions using inversion (p. 111)

Also please review the past tense with –er  verbs.

I might ask you to answer questions that look like this:

Qu’est-ce que tu fais le weekend?

Avec qui as-tu joué au foot hier ?

Which one is in the present tense ? the past?

What tense will you use to answer these questions?

For Monday, May 14 please do exercise 2 on page 112 and exercise 5 on page 113 (in your text) with a heading.

For Wednesday, May 16 please study for a quiz on lesson 8.

For Monday, May 21 please study for an exam covering lessons 5,6,7, & 8.

For Monday, May 7 please do exercises 9 and 10 on page 110 of your textbook.  You may use your blue notebook to write the exercises on page 82.  Please don’t forget your heading.

For Monday, April 30 please do page 77, ex. 1 & 2 and page 78 ex. 3  in your French workbook.

For Wednesday, April 25

Please do ex. 4 on page 107 (in your text)with a heading.

For Monday please complete the exercise on page 74 in your french notebook and on page 76 write 5 questions using the interrogative expressions, où, quand, comment,  à quelle heure, and pourquoi.  The title for this page is Practique avec les questions d’information.  You will be asking these questions to your classmates for an oral activity in class.

For Monday, April 23 please do the ex. on page 74 in your blue notebook. Write 3 questions to ask your classmates about what they like to do on the weekend and 3 questions about what they did this past weekend using interrogative expressions (p.106).
For example:

Est-ce que tu aimes nager à la piscine le week-end?

Où est-ce que tu es allé le week-end dernier?

À quelle heure est-ce que tu as regardé la télé?

For Wednesday, April 18 please do ex. 3 on page 103 in your text (include heading).  Answer the question, qu’est-ce que tu as fait ce weekend?” (What did you do this weekend?) with 5 complete sentences in the past tense.

For Wednesday please copy the vocabulary on page 100 in your text on to page 69 of your blue notebook.  You can fold the paper lengthwise and write the English on the opposite side so you have a study guide.
