Skating and more!
Skating in Gym class was so much fun! The slides tell it all. Children helping children and friends having fun was what this class is all about!
Inside the classroom we are learning more about Japan as we created Daruma dolls. We learned that these dolls are used to make wishes for the New Year in Japan. The clay is still drying and we hope to paint them this week. We are working on learning Japanese greetings and will begin using them as we move from class to class.
Fractions have taken over in math class. Soon the fraction books will be complete and on their way to your homes. Math Mixer with Second Grade continues to be a highlight for the children.
2012 is off to a great start in First Grade. The children are working hard and living life to its fullest!
