Alaska Day was magical again this year! Children arrived in the morning to a snowless campus. Then, right before lunch, the snowflakes began to fall, transforming the campus into the perfect winter wonderland for Alaska Day activities. Jen Capala captured the festivities in her pictures.

BCD Annual Parent Lecture – Monday, April 23 at 7 pm
This year’s Parents’ Association parent lecturer will be Dr. Edward Hallowell, a renowned child and adult psychiatrist. He will be discussing the childhood roots of adult happiness. Save the date, and invite friends!

Grades 4-9 Lacrosse for Spring Sports – Please return completed form!

BCD’s Financial Aid Fundraiser will be on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the magnificant Stonover Farm in Lenox, MA. This year, BCD Celebrates the Arts with a Cinco de Mayo theme woven into an evening of great music, food, live and silent auctions, specialty cocktails and decorations. Kate Kapteyn ’78 Baldwin will cater the evening with “delicioso” Latin hors d’oeuvres! World-renowned contemporary Brazilian guitarist and musician, Richard Boukas, will perform during the donor reception. Auction items include a weekend get-away to NYC featuring tickets to the Lincoln Center and Webster Theater, Fourth of July tickets and a sound check with James Taylor at Tanglewood, and an opportunity to bid on the best BCD parking space — muy caliente!
