Upper School Play – Friday, Feb. 24 and Saturday, Feb. 25 at 7 pm
BCD Upper School Theater Ensemble presents Postcards From Canterbury adapted from Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales by Jessica Litwak.  The show will be at Winthrop Theater (45 West St, Lenox).

Arts Night – Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 5-7 pm
Join us on Tuesday, Feb. 28 for Arts Night!  The evening will begin at 5 pm in Fitzpatrick Hall where the annual Art Show will be on display.   All students will have work on display. At 5:45 we will move over to Furey Hall for a presentation of some of the work that has gone on in the Performing Arts classes during Arts Blocks. There will be readings of short works from the Playwriting class, musical performances by some members of the Electronic Music class, and a few singers from the Musical Theater class.  This year, due to sports season having already ended, there will not be food available to tide our athletes and parents over.  Feast on art, and still have time for dinner and homework!

Ski Friday Schedule
Weather permitting, there will be two more sessions of Ski Friday for our students - March 2 and March 9.

Preschool and Lower School conferences
Parent-Teacher conferences are scheduled for Thursday, March 1 from 3:15 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, March 2, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. These 20-minute conferences are with your child’s homeroom teachers only. Conference sign up forms are now available at the following link http://mybcd.org/pslsconfer/. Sign ups will close by the end of day Wednesday, February 29. After Wednesday, we ask that you contact the teacher directly for available times.

Please note that there is no school for Preschool or Lower School students Friday, March 2. However, the Ski Friday Programs will still run at Bousquet and Butternut for your children. So please plan accordingly.

There is childcare available during our regular afterschool program time on Thursday from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. If you wish to use the afterschool care program, we ask that you call in advance to reserve a place. There is no childcare available on Friday.

March Vacation Camp at BCD
Sign your child up for a vacation full of fun at BCD.  Full-day and half-day spots are available for students in Preschool up through Grade 6.  Please register by March 5.  Download the form here.

Lacrosse – Spring Sports Start Soon
The sports program is an integral part of each child’s experience at BCD.  It is an opportunity to learn new or develop skills as an athlete, to learn the importance of being a valued and committed member of a team, and to develop a strong sense of good sportsmanship.  The Spring Sports Season starts soon.  Grades 7 through 9 sports will start Tuesday, March 27th.  Grades 4 through 6 sports will start on Monday, April 2 as long as the weather allows for it.  Please download the registration form here and return to BCD as soon as possible.

Save the Date for the ArtSoirée
 This year’s ArtSoirée auction items are “muy caliente”!  By attending ArtSoirée, BCD’s financial aid fundraiser held on May 5, 2012 (Cinco De Mayo) in the magnificent barn at Stonover Farm in Lenox, you will have the opportunity to bid on “very hot” items like tickets to Jacob’s Pillow, Canyon Ranch Spa passes, an overnight at the Red Lion Inn, James Taylor 4th of July tickets, and a $4,500 gift certificate for an overnight or dinner party at the luxurious Blantyre!  It’s an evening you won’t want to miss!
