BCD’s beloved holiday tradition of “Thanksgiving Soup” is next Tuesday, November 24th.  Please remember to send your child’s donation to the soup (see list below) in a reusable container on Monday morning.  Class parents will collect all the individual donations into larger containers right after drop off and bring them up to the kitchen, where our fantastic crew of volunteers will spend the day cooking it up.

The menu is Veggie Soup with penne pasta, dinner rolls and butter, apple cider, and either an apple or a clementine for dessert.  Please send in a lunch for your child if the menu does not appeal to them. 

Tuesday’s schedule will be: Periods 1-4 as normal, then 15 minutes of cubby clean out and announcements before the students head to Fitzpatrick Hall.  The event will run from 12-12:45, and the buses will roll at 1:00 p.m.

We could use some more volunteers for the clean-up crew, and you are welcome to bring your children along to help.  Please Contact Gwen Jurney at gwen@16sur20.com to add your name to the list.

B3       1 bunch scallions (not chopped), 2 apples

PreK    1 zucchini, chopped, and 2 apples

K         1 bunch celery,chopped, and 2 apples

1          2 zucchini, chopped

 2          1 head garlic (whole), 1 stick butter

 3          1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz)

 4          1 yellow onion, chopped, and 2 apples

5          1 large carrot, chopped, and 2 apples

 6          4 clementines (OR APPLES)

 7          4 apples

 8          4 clementines (OR APPLES)

 9          1 lb. dried penne pasta
