Parents and students in Grades 6-8 are invited to a special open house on Thursday, October 1, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the Furey Music Room, to learn more about BCD’s culminating ninth grade year and academic program.

BCD’s ninth grade academic curriculum stands up to the programs offered at pre-eminent day and boarding schools. Students experience international travel, have a wide range of Arts electives to choose from, and grow through the leadership opportunities they are given.

BCD views its ninth grade program as a year of acceleration, expansion, increased confidence and self-awareness, leadership, and growth – in the classroom, in the community, on the field, on the stage and elsewhere. Parents and students tell us that our ninth graders go on to have joyful, well-adjusted, and distinguished careers in their secondary schools, in no small part due to the confidence and ability they gain through this culminating year.
